10/21/10 - #589: mnz1000k (793KB)
The third of three new tracks from Ginetto, in support or the just-about-to-be-released 1967 SportsCar Mod. A version of John Basara's Monza 10k with chicanes added before the two oval turns. Two covers included, a real cover for the GT mod, and an original for everything else.

You don't need to download the program set - it comes with the track.

10/09/10 - #588: sebr67 (804KB)
The second of three new tracks from Ginetto, in support for the even-sooner-to-be-released 1967 SportsCar Mod. This is an all-new version of Sebring. Two covers included (a 'real' cover for the GT mod, and an original piece for everything else.)

You don't need to download the program set - it comes with the track.

10/03/10 - #587: don37 (492KB)
Luna (aka Richard Neville), maker of Panchine, Lunar Grand Prix, Cerne's Wood, etc. has just publicly released his long-time beta of Donington Park (1937). (I did the progset for him back in 2006...!)

You don't need to download the program set - it comes with the track.

10/03/10 - #586: tronaas (494KB)
Bjørn Finnestad, maker of Lura04, Rally Stavanger and others is back with another one of his GPL Tracks based on real Norwegian roads. This one is a long drive through varied countryside, with fast 'highway' sections and a very steep mountain climb.
10/03/10 - #585: dayto24h (882KB)
The first of three new tracks from Ginetto, in support for the soon-to-be-released 1967 SportsCar Mod, this is a lovely version of Daytona with it's infield section, circa 1967. Two covers included (a 'real' cover for the GT mod, and an original piece for everything else.)

You don't need to download the program set - it comes with the track.

01/09/10 - #584: zeltw71 (429KB)
Another new one from Jackseller - this is a redo of Ronnie Bresich's old Zeltweg track (aka, the old Österreichring). The original suffered of instability, due to gaps in the track layout (or whatever). This new one has all of that fixed, and has had Jack's expert team of landscapers come in and really decorate the place. Beautiful texture work, as always.

You don't need to download the program set - it comes with the track.

01/06/10 - #583: bhmsnite (406KB)
New night track from Fast Tommi, this time a nightification of William Campbell's Birmingham Superprix.

You don't need to download the program set - it comes with the track.

10/12/09 - #582: mosprain (453KB)
Jackseller has released a lovely new rainy version of Mosport, complete with falling rain, reduced grip, flashing lightning, sound effects, and really nice texture work. (Unsurprising, that last — see his beautiful work at Jops and Urbanya). Quality job all around!

Note: you need the current patches (67 patch, 65, 66, 69 mod patches) to run this track.

You don't need to download the program set - it comes with the track.

09/29/09 - #581: targa (500KB)
The most incredible track for any sim ever is finally released. Prepare to be blown away.

Go here and download it, and while you're there, say something nice to Ginetto, Sergio, and all the rest of the guys who've worked for years to bring this to you.

Note: you need the current patches (67 patch, 65, 66, 69 mod patches) to add long-track support, etc. to run this track.

You don't need to download the program set - it comes with the track.

09/01/09 - #580: killarne (447KB)
Killarney is a new track from Francesco Molteni. The track was used in the '60s for various non-points races, and is still in use to this day.

The real-life cover for this particular event isn't available, so this cover features new artwork in the same vein as a number of real covers from the period.

6/12/2009 - #579: urbanya (360KB)
Urbanya is a new fantasy track from Jackseller, who did the most-excellent texture work on Jops. Fun, high-speed drive with very pretty surroundings. And animated hot-air balloons. Highly recommended.
6/12/2009 - #578: monacane (415KB)
Mark Beckman's "Monaco with a fixed/accurate chicane" has been packaged up and blessed as an Official Track by DangerMouse. I've done my part.
4/27/2009 - #577: rberg07 (439KB)
Randaberg 2007 is another real-life fantasy track from Björn Finnestad, creator of Tasta 2004 and Rally Stavanger. The race takes place on impeccably-modeled real-life roads in the Norwegian village of Randaberg. Excellent driving, and considerably faster and more wide-open than his previous tracks. Fun stuff!
2/15/2009 - #576: jacare (433KB)
While cleaning up some loose ends here at BAPOM Central, I ran a little code to check which tracks in my GPL tracks directory didn't have corresponding BAPOM progsets. While there are a handful of unreleased tracks that I know about, this one came up as well.

Someone must have thrown me a copy of it while it was in progress (the DAT file is dated 2002), and later abandoned the project, as it was never released. I have no idea who was working on the track, or why they stopped, but in any event, the track is 'out' now, and it needs a progset...

1/25/2009 - #575: gothnite (423KB)
Gothica is a new track from Fast Tommi, a 'night' version of KELLLAAA's Machwerk. But it's a little more than the usual 'nightification', which is why it's sporting its own unique cover, and not the standard night mod cover template. You'll see why when you drive it.
1/25/2009 - #574: snowglen (475KB)
Snowglen is a winterized version of the standard Papyrus 1967 Watkins Glen track, from Rémy Roesz. Pretty!
1/25/2009 - #573: spanishi (463KB)
Spa Nishi Motor Park is a new one from Polar Blue 21. It's a tightish real-life Japanese club track, which for some reason reminds me of Vallelunga, or maybe El Pinar. Fun in the '65s.
1/25/2009 - #572: pbear (470KB)
Shiro Kuma 2008 is a new version of Polar Blue 21's Polar Bear track, previously released in 2002. Slightly different track layout in the 'nose' area, newer better eye candy.
1/25/2009 - #571: brnite49 (391KB)
Another entry in Fast Tommi's 'night mod' series, this is version of Sergio Loro's Brno 1949 track.
1/25/2009 - #570: grnznite (387KB)
What's better than flying through the German countryside at 190MPH? Well, you could always try doing it at night.
7/24/2008 - #569: vliget (394KB)
A new track from first-timer Fejes Gábor, Városliget is a fantasy race through (real) roads in Budapest's city park. A lot of neat scenery here.
7/24/2008 - #568: west1967 (890KB)
A 'period'-look version of Glen Leugner's Westwood. Same layout as the Westwood 1990 track, different graphics.

This progset comes with four different covers, for the '65, '66, '67 and '69 seasons respectively. The covers are real-life scans that have been cleaned up somewhat and reformatted to fit the GPL aspect ratio without streching.

Thanks to Glen for providing me with the original scan for the '67 cover.

7/24/2008 - #567: kyalnite (380KB)
Another entry in the Fast Tommi "night mod" series.

You don't need to download the program set - it comes with the track.

7/24/2008 - #566: ridgnite (375KB)
Another entry in the Fast Tommi "night mod" series.

You don't need to download the program set - it comes with the track.

04/20/2008 - #565: suz (365KB)
A cover for David Noonan's version of Suzuka, which you don't have, isn't available anywhere, and isn't anything you need. (Get the 2000 or 1978 versions instead, they're better.)
04/20/2008 - #564: stig (340KB)
Dunsfold Airfield (aka, the place where Top Gear tests their cars). Decidedly 'alpha'.
04/20/2008 - #563: sfrw (411KB)
The latest from PolarBlue21. Sodegaura Forest Raceway is a new club circuit still under construction in Chiba, Japan.
04/20/2008 - #562: sears97 (389KB)
An okay, but not a great, version of Sears Point with the inner loop.
04/20/2008 - #561: pescara (410KB)
This is for Sergio's beta of Pescara.
04/20/2008 - #560: oahu (376KB)
Hawaii Raceway Park is a real club track on the island of Oahu. This version of it... not so good.
04/20/2008 - #559: nicoduel (360KB)
Nicoduel is another one of those 'split duel tracks with a crossover' deals. It's not a bad track, though it gets a bit ugly in the city sections...
04/20/2008 - #558: mugello (441KB)
Ginetto's still working on Mugello. (it's just that there's this really long Sicilian track to finish up, first). It (Mugello) is going to be quite good when finished, as it's quite good even in its beta state. Fun fun track.
04/20/2008 - #557: melb57 (388KB)
An ancient, aborted attempt at Melbourne's Albert Park, circa 1957. But it's got a progset now.
04/20/2008 - #556: maceone (355KB)
Maceone is an unfinished fantasy track, but it's actually pretty good. Simple, high-speed romp through some hills, with a monster banked turn at the end. Fun.
04/20/2008 - #555: loudon (419KB)
The oval+road course layout at New Hampshire International Speedway.
04/20/2008 - #554: lhammer (392KB)
Lillehammer is an ice-race on a frozen lake, which is a unique feature in the GPL track scene. It's also pretty well realized. As non-final tracks go, this one's further along than most.
04/20/2008 - #553: indyrp67 (380KB)
Indianapolis Raceway Park is a real oval+road course. Not to be confused with that other track in Indy. This version (from Rick King) is unfortunately quite 'alpha' - but at least it's now properly clothed.
04/20/2008 - #552: gwhclimb (364KB)
A progset for the unreleased, unavailable Goodwood Hillclimb. If you don't have the track, don't worry about it, it's just a featureless ribbon. If you do, well, now you've got a BAPOM progset...
04/20/2008 - #551: gavea (402KB)
This is a progset for Sergio's very early alpha of Gávea.
